Welcome to Schomberg
A Main Street Christmas
Thank You!
The Schomberg Village Association (SVA) would once again like to thank everyone who volunteered to make A Main Street Christmas such a wonderful event. A lot of work goes into every little detail of the event, whether building floats for the parades, liaising with the police, manning a gate, ensuring everything is paid for, and on and on... Everyone who helps, whether for an hour on the day, or all year planning, we are extremely grateful for your contribution!
The support of business owners, property owners and residents on the street never ceases to amaze. We understand that it’s and inconvenience to have your street blocked off and filled with huge crowds, even having your business hours reduced, yet again and again you support us – thank you!
An event like “A Main Street Christmas” can not be presented without considerable costs, and through our sponsorship program our local businesses are the backbone of our finances. We are extremely grateful and humbled by the financial support of our business community and we strongly encourage you to support them in turn.
We want to offer a special thanks to Trisan Construction for both providing and placing the bollards along the streets - bollards that allow us to manage traffic and ensure that both Parades can make their way safely through town.
The Farmers’ Parade of Lights, dazzled us as always! They always astound us with their creativity as these great monster machines wind down the street to the delight of young and old. The Schomberg Village Association is grateful for the relationship we have had with the farming community through the years, and especially for the time and effort they take to ensure A Main Street Christmas goes out with a bang, every year better than the last one! Thank you!
We thank the Township Staff for their direct assistance in making things work, and for the politicians from across the township for their moral support. We would also like to recognise York Region Police for their guidance and presence, and St. Johns Ambulance and Schomberg Firefighters for their support every year, helping us keep everyone safe.
See you next year!
