Welcome to Schomberg
Where you are always welcome!
Once again, we're going with a non-traditional A Main Street Christmas celebration. Like last year we'll be focusing on a Farmers' Parade of Lights/drive through in the Agricultural Fairgrounds.
This year's celebration will take place over two evenings rather than just one, and will include include entertainment along Western Ave and near the Old Arena/Parks Depot. Of course, like last year, the prime attraction is the Farmers' Parade of Lights, brought to you by members of our local farming community.
The celebration takes place on Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, December 4th between 5 and 9pm.
In order to be able to present a full/traditional A Main Street Christmas celebration next year, there will be a $10 per car charge for this year’s drive through. You can purchase your ticket 'at the gate' as you arrive.
We can only accept cash, and we will be able to ‘make change’ to a reasonable degree.
Those who have pre-purchased a ticket online (before the ticketing system failed), please bring your confirmation email as your ticket - you won't be charged again!
Enter the lineup at Main and Church streets and and follow the instructions provided by the people in the high-visibility jackets!
Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook for updates!
Christmas Tree Lighting
This year the Christmas tree lighting ceremony has moved! This year we’re lighting up the beautiful blue spruce next to the tennis courts on Western Avenue.
With the help of the Township Community Services (formerly the Parks, Recreation and Culture) department our Christmas tree lighting will take place on Sunday, November 28 at 5 PM.
Like last year, it will be streamed on Facebook, so follow us there for updates.
Poster and Print
A print or plaque of this year's A Main Street Christmas poster will soon be available for purchase at Olde Mill Art Gallery & Shoppe at 357 Main St at Dr Kay Drive.
A print of the original painting that formed the basis of the poster will also be available.
More information, and the story behind this years poster/plaque can be found here.
